25 Random Things About Me Jacked From My Facebook

1) I hope to go to the Urussian Area within a few years.
2) I love taking random pictures of crazy things.
3) Random Russian conversations fascinate me.
4) I prefer to shop at the Goodwill over some fancy store.
5) I just got another dog in June since my previous dog died who was a Boarder Collie.
6) I believe that every kid should have some type if mentor and fatherly figure in their life.
7) I don't like it when people judge others based on something that happened in then past when they've moved past that point.
8) I once confused an 80 year old lady as I was reading off the packet's of taco bell sauce. She thought that I asked her to marry me and she was insisting that I was way to young. Then I showed her the packet and she showed me her husband. Thank God they have no Taco Bells in Ukraine/Russia!!!
9) I used to own roughly 1400 different video games until I sold a bunch of them to help pay for college.
10) I have an alphabetized library of books in my room with a nice cozy chair to read them in.
11) I used to know a bunch of Swahili but I can only remember a few words now and how to read and write it.
12) In college I was on the volleyball, soccer, and basketball team.
13) In high school and middle school I was on the basketball, cross country, track, baseball, soccer, and wrestling team.
14) I'm a virgin.
15) I used to work at a place for foster kids and inner city street kids and talk them through their problems.
16) I'm a deep thinker.
17) I've seen the Little Mermaid then any other movie.
18) I love camping and back packing!
19) I think that it would be fun to backpack across the world once in this lifetime.
20) I love riding horses and just enjoying God's creation!
21) I used the same book report from 1st grade through 12th grade and modified it every year.
22) I used to play basketball everyday until I could make 10 3 pt shots in a row.
23) I love listening to people's problems and fixing them.
24) I really like outreaches and volunteering!
25) I like to write my own songs and poems in my free time.

My About me...

Over the past year I've always been trying to do things that I wanted and not just stop and give everything up to God because that was what is best for me. For instance I tried going to the Cleveland area, contacting churches that I thought would be cool (like in Ohio, Washington, Indiana, etc. Though throughout everything nothing seemed to turn out just right. It even got to the point where my loans increased because of a gratuated payment. So it was like playing Russian hour roulette. Anyways as time has gone on and things change I've really started praying more towards asking God to help me move on with things. Once I finally decided to not search for Ukrainian/Russian stuff wierd things started happening and all I did was pray. Not only have I had a lady come and ask me at least once a week when I'm going to Russia. I have also had multiple Russian Christians popping up that I never even knew existed in Iowa. You see despite everything going on in my life it is always best to delight in the Lord and not try to make your own plans. God always knows what's best for you. As day by day passes it's one step closer to Russia/Ukraine. I TRULY miss my old job of working with troubled youth because of my background in counseling troubled youth and o so much more. In the long run I look forward more and more to the exciting, but yet rewarding opportunity of being able to make a difference in a kids life again like what I was able to do when I worked at a mission for foster kids and kids without parents. That's the type of job I would love to work in again. There is nothing like changing a kids life from what may seem as hopeless to showing them the true hope and found in Christ and Christ alone (Romans 5).
